Tornado in Texas
Thunderstorm and tornado cause storm damage across Central Texas
Whitney, TX (KWTX) A strong thunderstorm that produced a tornado and strong wind gusts downed power-lines, trees, and caused damage to homes in Coryell, Bosque, and Hill Counties Sunday.
Damage was first reported near Coryell City by law enforcement around 5:30 PM.
A tornado was reported near Mosheim in Bosque County, however the National Weather Service has not yet confirmed that as an actual tornado.
Bosque County Emergency Management reported wind damage in Clifton around 6 PM. Meridian Police posted a photo to their Facebook page showing damage near a Dairy Queen in Clifton.
A tornado was reported in Laguna Park by fire officials. Power lines were damaged near Lake Whitney.
Although only one tornado had been confirmed, The National Weather Service in Fort Worth will likely conduct a damage survey to determine whether damage Sunday afternoon was caused by a tornado or by straight-line winds
