There has been widespread flooding in Londonderry following a torrential downpour across the city.
The Waterside area is reportedly the worst affected, with sewage from a burst manhole cover running down the Limavady Road.
Motorists have had to negotiate floodwaters of up to two foot and have been urged to take extra care.
Northern Ireland Water have said that contractors are dealing with flooding incidents in the city.

Several days of heavy rain have continued to cause flooding problems across many areas of Scotland. People living near a Renfrewshire dam were warned to leave their homes for the second time this week.
Police were concerned further rain could cause the structure, near Lochwinnoch, to burst and flood homes. Showers also caused disruption in the Edinburgh area, with lane closures on the A720 city bypass, prompting long delays, and train services were hit.
Tracks near Waverley station flooded, reducing trains between Edinburgh and Glasgow to one every half hour, while pumps were used to clear the water. The A72 Galashiels to Peebles route was closed between Clovenfords and Walkerburn, due to a landslip.
Insp Jill Kerr, of Lothian and Borders Police, said conditions looked set to improve. She said: "Thankfully, weather reports suggest the worst rainfall is over and we expect the flooding to subside over the next 12 hours. However, the heavy rainfall overnight has caused some severe problems on our roads.
The A760 Lochwinnoch to Kilbirnie road was closed and drivers and pedestrians were warned to stay away from the area. Early on Thursday morning, police contacted several householders living nearby and asked them to leave as a precaution. Earlier this week, firefighters worked round the clock to pump out more than half the water in the reservoir there.

Rivers have burst their banks, homes have been flooded and roads have been blocked across Fife after torrential rain overnight. Every firefighter on duty in the area was called out to help deal with more than 100 incidents. The north east of Fife, Falkland, Kirckaldy, Oakley, Rosyth and St Andrews were worst affected.
Many of the calls dealt with by emergency services involved homes being flooded when streams burst their banks. There was also a "slight landslide" on the A92 near to Kilmany, where the road was closed after being covered with mud and stones.
A spokeswoman for Fife Fire and Rescue Service said: We have had about 120 calls regarding flooding in Fife, people have called from all over the county, it's not been confined to one part of the county. There have been no major evacuations or anything like that, but a lot of people's homes have been flooded. It's just been excessive rain across the county, local burns bursting their banks and things like that.
The amount of rain we have had has been unbelievable and that's been the main focus. A spokesman for Fife Constabulary said that "numerous" small roads were closed because of the flooding, with some people having abandoned their cars when they realised how deep the water was.
And he said the heavy rain on Saturday had caused a 20ft wall in Kings Crescent, Rosyth, to collapse. But the police spokesman added: "Fortunately no-one has been injured in any of the incidents."

The clear up operation in Fife is continuing after a weekend of torrential rain.
Every firefighter in the area was called out to deal with incidents as many residents were forced to leave their homes and roads were closed.
North East Fife was the area worst affected by heavy rainfall on Saturday and in the early hours of Sunday.
Forecasters are warning the area could see more heavy rainfall in the coming days.
Flood waters are now receding after homes and business in Falkland, Kirkcaldy, Oakley, Rosyth and St Andrews took the brunt of the downpour.
John Kircaldy, who owns the Cairns Mill Caravan Park outside St Andrews, said parts of the holiday site were under a metre of water at the weekend.
He said: "The rain just continued to get heavier. We had to evacuate a party of YMCA children who were on a weekend break because the river ran past their base and started to get very high."
'Climate change'
Fife Council said the A915 at Wester Newburn South of Largoward remained closed after the carriageway was damaged due to flooding.
The route is expected to re open at about 1600 BST.
Fife councillor Robin Waterson said more work was needed to ensure drains across the area were better maintained.
He said: "Yesterday was a very bad day. I spoke to several residents who've been affected by water coming down off the fields.
"A number of shops have also been badly affected. Some people will only discover the full effect of the damage today.
"There's no question in my mind that extreme weather events like this will continue and unfortunately we have to face the fact that climate change is real and this does require extra investment."
The Scottish Government said flood prevention was a priority and that spending to combat the issue has increased by 41%.
The Met Office is warning that Central Tayside and Fife could see rainfall of between 25-50mm in the coming days although Monday is expected to feature sunshine and showers.

The airport road near Moira was closed off in the flooding
Exceptional rainfall has seen two properties in Warrenpoint, County Down, flooded, NI Water has said. Two homes in Charlotte Street were flooded when a storm pump failed. The water has been pumped out and a clean up has been completed. Earlier, the Fire and Rescue Service laid sandbags at some houses in the town. There have been reports of flooding in Cranfield, near Rostrevor. The A26 Larne Road Link at Pennybridge in Ballymena has closed due to floods. It is not likely to be re-opened until 1000 BST on Wednesday.
Earlier three teenage girls were rescued after heavy rains left them stranded in the Mourne Mountains in County Down. The girls, aged between 15 and 17, were forced from their campsite by torrential rain at about 0445 BST on Tuesday. They then found their way down was blocked by a swollen river. "It would have been quite dangerous," said Ed Kilgore from the Mourne Rescue Team, which led the girls to safety. The girls were picked up by relatives at the bottom of the Mournes. Five people had to be rescued after their cars were trapped in floodwater. It happened on the Glenavy Road in Moira following a night of heavy rain across Northern Ireland.

The A914 was flooded at Pitlessie
Another night of torrential rain has caused more flooding in Fife. Several roads have been hit, including the A914, which was closed between Kingskettle and the New Inn roundabout, in Freuchie. The A92 was closed between Letham and Rathillet while parts of the A914 and B942 were also been hit. A spokesman for Fife Fire and Rescue Service said officers were pumping out water in Freuchie and the surrounding areas of central Fife. North East Fife was badly hit by flooding at the weekend, with several roads closed and many residents forced to leave their homes. The Scottish Environment Protection Agency said it was monitoring river levels and coastal conditions across the country to assess the likelihood of flooding, after heavy rain in many areas overnight. It warned the already saturated ground conditions in many areas made disruption caused by localised flooding more likely.

Flooding has affected several areas in the west of Scotland after heavy rain fell across the area for a third day. Two feet of water covered streets in the Renfrewshire town of Johnstone. Parts of Greenock in Invercylde were closed off. In Lanarkshire, roads have been closed in the Bellshill area. The Galston roundabout in Newmilns, Ayrshire, also closed after a burn burst its banks.
Police warned drivers to avoid these areas. Crews from Strathclyde Fire and Rescue were said to be severely stretched in response to calls from worried residents. Floodwater, up to two feet deep, covered a large area of Newmilns Main Street, in Ayrshire.
Several houses in the area were affected, but there were no reports of injuries or the need for rescues.
'Floodwater receding'
Three fire engines from Dreghorn, Kilmarnock and Stewarton community fire stations attended. They were working with East Ayrshire Council and Strathclyde Police to resolve the incident. Strathclyde Fire and Rescue said the use of pumping equipment and the clearing of culverts appeared to be helping the floodwater recede.
The latest cases of flooding followed several other incidents across Scotland in the past few days. On Wednesday, three people had to be rescued after floodwater engulfed their cars in North Lanarkshire. Elsewhere, in Fife, several houses were left in up to 5ft of water while a road outside Victoria Park, Jordanhill, Glasgow, also became flooded.

In Lanarkshire, roads were closed in the Bellshill area. The Galston roundabout in Newmilns, Ayrshire, also closed after a burn burst its banks.
There were also minor landslides on the B797 in Dumfries and Galloway.
A Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary spokesman said many roads in the Sanquhar and Upper Nithsdale area were affected by flooding and asked drivers to avoid the Sanquhar to Wanlockhead road and affected areas.
However, a spokeswoman for East Ayrshire Council said three primary schools had closed early due to the flooding in the Newmilns area.
A fire service spokesman said about eight homes in Giffnock, East Renfrewshire, had been affected by flooding after a burn burst its banks.
Fire appliances were pumping water from the affected area on Eastwood Mains Road, which was closed.
The electricity and gas supply of some homes was also affected, leading to some residents having to stay with friends or relatives.
Strathclyde Fire and Rescue said the use of pumping equipment and the clearing of culverts appeared to be helping the floodwater recede.
In Fife, firefighters were attending to reports of flooding at Melville House, a historic 17th century building near the village of Letham.
The latest cases of flooding followed several other incidents across Scotland in the past few days.
On Wednesday, three people had to be rescued after floodwater engulfed their cars in North Lanarkshire.

Flooding has caused severe damage to properties in Dundee city centre.
About 40 firefighters had to deal with the flooding in Dundee
About 40 firefighters dealt with the deluge, which began at about 1715 BST on Thursday. The area around Commercial Street and Trades Lane was badly hit.
Basements were flooded, sewage was coming up through toilets and one property had a lift shaft flooded.
A further 10 firefighters tackled severe flooding which affected the railway line at Inverkeilor, near Arbroath.
Tayside Fire and Rescue incident commander, Stewart Edgar, said it was the worst flooding he had seen in Dundee for many years.
"There was a deluge of rain and that, incorporated with the high tide, produced severe flooding," he said.
"There was about two-to-three feet of water affecting many residential and commercial properties.
She said: "The water started to flood over the toilets like a river and, within about 15 minutes, it was up to about six or seven inches all through my basement.
"My stock's ruined it's just been an absolute nightmare."
Suhail Akhter, the managing director of SA Computer World, on Trades Lane, told the BBC Scotland news website that water flooded into his store when a customer opened the door.
"It's gone right underneath the counter, right to the back wall, to the stock room," he said.
"Even with the doors locked the water kept coming in.
"I've got no idea how much it's going to cost, but I don't think I'll be open for at least a couple of weeks.
"We've got dry suits, we've got wading polls, we've got lines, we've got rescue sleds - all that equipment was put to good use."
City hairdresser Karen Smith said the flooding caused thousands of pounds worth of damage to her salon, on Commercial Street.

More than a hundred properties in Dundee were damaged after heavy rain sent up to 4ft of water surging through the city's streets. The city centre was closed off during the rush hour on Thursday evening as water flooded into shops in the city's commercial hub.
Rail passengers also faced disruption after flooding and a landslip on the Dundee to Aberdeen train route halted services. Passengers were transferred to replacement bus services and told to expect longer journey times. Stewart Edgar, Tayside Fire and Rescue Service incident commander, said: "It is the worst flooding we have had for some years."
The deluge began at a time of high tide, so the water was unable to run off into the rivers and the sea and was instead pushed back into the city centre, coming up through sewers and manholes. The worst affected streets were Trades Lane, Dock Street, and Candle Lane. Shopkeepers told how the downpour caused thousands of pounds of damage to their businesses.
Suhail Akhtar, managing director of SA Computer World, said: "There was about one-and-a-half feet of water going down the street and it just came in through the front door. People started trying to move their cars out of the street, but it had a tidal wave effect. The whole road was like a bed of water from one wall to the other wall.
Eight fire engines and up to 50 firefighters were involved in dealing with flood damage around the city centre. A fire service spokesman said it responded to around 30 flooding-related incidents over the course of the evening. The water receded at about 8pm. Blocked drains also caused flooding in the Linlithgow area, with homes flooded with a few inches of water.
Meanwhile, train services between Dundee and Aberdeen were halted after heavy rains deluged the track in several places. First ScotRail said the flooding was in Inverkeilor, Angus, while the landslip was in the Carmont area. A spokesman for the train operator said: "Network Rail are investigating the extent of the damage and we are working very closely with them to make sure we can get services back as quickly as possible."
He had no further detail on when normal services would resume, but said replacement bus services were running between the two cities.
