No one was hurt and no structures were damaged when a tornado touched down in southwestern Manitoba early Wednesday evening.
Environment Canada reported that a tornado touched down between the communities of Pipestone and Virden around 6:30 p.m. CT.
The storm system also produced high winds, heavy rain and several funnel clouds.
The storm moved east across the province throughout the evening, but did not produce any other tornadoes.
