No reports of damage; tremors happening every three days since Feb. 28
RENO, Nev. - An earthquake rattled buildings in downtown Reno on Thursday, but there were no immediate reports of damage. The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 4.1-magnitude quake hit just before 4 p.m. and was centered 4 miles west-northwest of Reno. Quakes of magnitude 2 and higher have been occurring about every three days since a swarm of widely felt earthquakes began Feb. 28.

Another earthquake dumped cans off shelves, knocked pictures off walls and sent rocks off hillsides in the Reno area late Friday night, a day after a quake caused high-rise casinos to sway and put visitors and residents on alert on the Sierra Nevada's eastern front.
There were no immediate reports early Saturday of injuries or major property damage. The U.S. Geological Survey reported the 4.7 magnitude temblor at 11:40 p.m. was centered six miles west of Reno near Mogul, where a swarm of more than 100 quakes rattled the area on Thursday, the biggest a 4.2 event.
A 3.5 aftershock followed at 12:29 a.m. Saturday, the USGS said. The 4.7 quake originally was estimated to be 4.9, but revised downward after more details were available, USGS said.
It was felt 30 miles north in Portola, Calif., and at least 45 miles south near Stateline, Nev., on Lake Tahoe's south shore.
