Motorists around Scotland are being urged to drive with care following overnight snowfalls. The wintry weather returned to the country in the early hours of Monday with blizzard conditions reported, particularly in the west. Snow is affecting Argyll, Ayrshire and Dumfries and Galloway, along with parts of the north west Highlands and the Western Isles. Police say drivers should take care when travelling in poor conditions. BBC Scotland weather forecaster Gail McGrane said temperatures would improve later in the day although snow would persist in the Northern Isles, north Highlands, into Moray and parts of Aberdeenshire.
