STORMY weather triggered at least 13 car crashes in Tasmania's south, felled and trees and live powerlines in the north of the state.
Tasmania Police sergeant Andrew O'Dwyer said officers attended 13 car crashes which coincided with wet road conditions this afternoon.
"Most crashes can be attributed to drivers continuing to drive to the speed limit rather than to the prevailing road conditions," Sgt O'Dwyer said.
A 30m tree fell over a house in the state's north, and another fell on a woman in her 40s, causing minor injuries.
A live powerline fell across a road at Arthur River, sparking a small grass fire
