JAKARTA (JP):A magnitude-5.6 earthquake, followed by a magnitude-5.2 earthquake shook Sunday evening North Sumatra, but there were no immediate reports of damage.
The Meteorology and Geophysics Agency (BMG) reported on its website that the first earthquake, occurred at 8:12 p.m., was centered 27 kilometers southwest of Mount Sitoli of North Sumatra at a depth of just 10 kilometers.
The second quake, which struck at 8:34 p.m., was centered 16 kilometers southeast of Mt. Sitoli at a depth of 33 kilometers.
