Een onweersbui in Colorado heeft een lawine van stenen, modder en puin veroorzaakt in een cayon in Manitou Springs. Enkele auto's kwamen onder de modder te zitten. Een auto werd door de modderstroom meegesleurd. Vorig jaar werd het gebied getroffen door de Waldo Canyon wildfire. Hierdoor is er nagenoeg geen vegetatie op de heuvels aanwezig.
