Floods sweep away 23 houses in Sumbawa
MATARAM (Antara): At least 23 houses were swept away by floods hitting two subdistricts in Sumbawa District, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province following incessant rains since Saturday. The two subdistrict being hit by the floods were respectively Empang and Terano, Amri, a spokesman of the Sumbawa district administration, said on Monday.
In Empang subdistrict, the worst-affected villages were Empang Atas, Empang Bawah, Ongko and Lamenta, while in Terano subdistrict, the flood inundated Batulanteh, Labuan Bontong and Labuan Jambu villages.
There was no report on casualities in the disaster
