At least four people have been hurt and several homes have been damaged as tornadoes cut through much of Arkansas. From Benton County to the Little Rock area, tornado warnings popped up throughout Wednesday evening. The worst damage is reported in central Arkansas. It's believed a twister touched down and injured one person in White County in the Center Hill area. That person was rushed to the hospital with a leg injury. Arkansas Department of Emergency Management spokeswoman Renee Preslar said three people sustained major injuries when a house was destroyed near Pearson in Cleburne County. She did not know how serious the injuries were.
The tornado also caused damage on the ground in Pulaski and Saline counties. More than a dozen homes were also reported damaged in the area of Highway 5 and Highway 298 in the central part of the state. In southwest Arkansas, there are reports of minor damage from a tornado to one building, snapped trees and downed power lines in Hempstead County near Ozan on Wednesday.
