A landslide killed three village guards, injured two others and one was missing in southeastern Turkey late Tuesday night because of heavy rain, an official statement said on Wednesday.
Acting Siirt Governor Hamdi Oncu said in the statement that a village minibus went into the mud as the landslide took place in Ormonli village of Sirvan town of Siirt province, and the villagers found the bodies of the three village guards.
He said that the injured two village guards were taken to Siirt State Hospital for treatment and the villagers were continuing to search for the missing person.
