In Hodgeman County, a tornado hit some outbuildings near a home. No one was hurt. Emergency dispatchers in Hodgeman County say mud and hail covered most roads. The National Weather Service reports at least one tornado touched down in Gray County, possibly two.

The Storm Prediction Center recorded six reports of tornadoes in western Kansas on Saturday afternoon, including one tornado that damaged a house six miles east of Kalvesta in Hodgeman County.
The tornado tore off part of the home’s roof, officials reported. Two outbuildings were damaged in Finney County, two miles east of Kalvesta. I’ll be curious to learn whether the same tornado is responsible for all the damage, since the reports are only a few miles apart.
A tornado that tracks through two counties is reported as two different tornadoes initially - one in each county - and then researchers adjust the numbers after reviewing damage paths. One report is of two tornadoes on the ground at the same time in Finney County from this same storm complex. I hope someone captured that on video or with a camera.
Other tornadoes were reported in Gray County Saturday: one nine miles north of Cimarron and another five miles northeast of Ingalls. No other damage was reported, however.
