There will be no rain for the next 48 hours as the low pressure system hovering over the UAE has passed by, but the unsettled weather will come back with a vengeance late on Friday, according to the Dubai Met office. A dust haze cover has settled over the UAE, reducing visibility to about 1,000 meters in Dubai. The dust storm is developing north-west of the UAE.
Bahrain and Qatar are also badly hit by the dust storm, according to Dr S.K. Gupta, duty forecaster. The dust has reduced visibility to between 4,000 to 5,000 meters in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. The haze has helped drop the temperature to 27 degrees Celsius while night time will be even cooler at 19 degrees Celsius. It will be partly cloudy and hazy over the next two days.
Residents can enjoy their weekend on Friday, but late night the weather will take a turn for the worse and there is a possibility of rain and thunderstorm again on Saturday morning.
